Tony Gonzalez says he is 95 percent sure he will retire however the Atlanta Falcons are trying their best to bring him back.
Falcons General Manager Thomas Dimitroff has repeatedly expressed optimism that the tight-end will return for the 2013 season, his 17th in the NFL.
“Tony has done so much for us on and off the field and I don’t believe, not stating that he would be lying to anyone, but I don’t believe the 95 percent,” Dimitroff said. “I want to believe it’s a lot closer to 50/50, to be honest with you, and we’ve had discussions.”
Gonzalez had another productive season in 2012 topping 100 receptions between the regular season and playoffs.
