Detroit Lions release Titus Young

Titus Young’s tenure with the Detroit Lions is over. Young once sucker punched teammate Louis Delmas in practice, lined up in the wrong position on multiple plays and told the Lions that he was tired of threats about being cut.

All that made the teams decision easier on Monday. The Lions cut ties with Young.

Drafted out of Boise State  in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Lions, Young had played in 26 games for the team catching  81 pass for 990 yards and ten touchdowns.

Young will have a cap hit of a little more than $900,000 in 2013.
