Chip Kelly led Oregon to a convincing win over Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl and then flirted with the Philadelphia Eagles before declaring he would return to coach the Ducks another season.

A few days later Kelly and the Eagles agreed on a deal that will make him the head coach of the team.

Kelly will immediately will become one of the NFL’s highest paid coaches as his contract calls for him to make $32.5 million over five years. That number averages out to $6.5 million annually and likely made Kelly’s decision to jump to the NFL a lot easier.

Kelly was 46-7 during his time as the head coach of the Oregon Ducks. He has no previous NFL experience.
