Carolina was hoping to take a step forward in 2012 after an impressive rookie campaign by quarterback Cam Newton they unfortunately got off to a bad start but have rallied of late by winning their last three.

If Newton is to post back to back 400 yard seasons he will need to throw for 379 yards against the Saints. Fortunately for him the Saints are next to last in stopping the pass allowing 294.1 yards though the air a game.

The Saints were without head coach Sean Payton this season and struggled early on as well. By mid season they seemed to have hit their stride but a three game losing streak that started at the end of November doomed their playoff hopes.

Saints quarterback Drew Bress leads the NFL in passing yards and needs 219 yards to post back-to-back 5,000 yard seasons.
