Patriots and Giants will honor victims of shooting with decal on their helmets

nelogo The NFL has asked each team to observe a moment of silence before kickoff on Sunday for those killed during Friday’s shooting in Connecticut.

At least two NFL teams will honor the victims on their helmets.

New England will wear black-ribbon logos on their helmets to honor the 26 victims. They will also light 26 white flares during the moment of silence before their game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Kraft family, which owns the Patriots, also owns a box company, Rand-Whitney, that has a factory less than one mile from Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The New York Giants will also honor the victims as they have written S.H.E.S. (Sandy Hook Elementary School) on their helmets for their game against the Atlanta Falcons.

The teams players found out about the tragedy after leaving the practice field on Friday.nyghelmet
