Buddy Nix again spoke about drafting a quarterback in next years NFL Draft.

“Let me say this: I think there’s a time that in the era that you’re in and the development of your team, there’s a time when you can move up a round to take a quarterback,” Nix said on WGR-AM, via the Buffalo News. “And I think the time’s now for us.

“I mean, if a guy’s there — I keep saying that, and there’ll be one out there — if the guy’s there, then I think we’ll target — as I’ve said before — drafting a good quarterback. We need a good, young quarterback, and we’re going to do our best to get him.”

A week ago Nix spoke to the fan base cautioning them that the Bills may not draft a quarterback. The latest comments came after Nix watched the duo of Andy Dalton and Julio Jones on Thursday night.

The comments are nothing new. Nix and head coach Chan Gailey have went out of their way to let everyone know they are seeking an upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick. The biggest problem for Buffalo is the lack of quality quarterbacks in next April’s draft.

Buffalo gave Fitzpatrick a six year $59 million extension in 2011. Though 13 games this season, Fitzpatrick has thrown for 2,718 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also has thrown 13 interceptions and fumbled 6 times.
