Jay Cutler’s status a mystery as he goes to see neurologist

Will Jay Cutler play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings? That question is tough to answer right now but it should be answered tomorrow.

Despite Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith’s comments over the past two weeks that Cutler was on track or “looking good” it is worth nothing that Cutler has not been cleared to play. Cutler also has not suggested that he would play or not.

On Saturday Cutler will go to see an independent neurologist. After this meeting we will know whether Cutler will play against the Vikings or not.

Cutler was injured in a  Nov. 11 game against the Houston Texans when linebacker Tim Dobbins delivered a helmet to helmet blow. The Bears quarterback left the game with a concussion and Dobbins was fined $30,000 for the the hit. The Bears lost last week to the 49ers by the score of 32-7 and are currently have a  7-3 record on the season.
