Brandon Meriweather done for season with torn ACL

The Washington Redskins continue to lose defensive players faster then they can get them back. Safety Brandon Meriweather was unable to last more then one game after tearing his right ACL. The tear will cost Meriweather the remainder of the season.

Meriweather downplayed the injury following the game saying he could have returned to the game. He missed the first nine games of the season with a left knee sprain.

The soon to be 29-year-old has a contract worth $2.45 million next season. He will need to get himself in shape quickly or the Redskins will cut bait on him. With a long list of injuries in recent years he can not be counted on as a starter anymore.

Washington was able to win yesterday defeating Philadelphia 31-6. They will play the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
