Michael Vick misses practice, Nick Foles expected to start

Michael Vick is not expected to start Sunday by anyone… but the Philadelphia Eagles have not confirmed anything. Vick remains at home resting following a concussion sustained in last weekends game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Nick Foles filled in at quarterback  after Vick left the game.  The rookie seeing his first game action was 22-for-32 for 219 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception and committed a costly fumble.

Earlier this week it was reported that Eagles head coach Andy Reid would notify owner Jeffrey Lurie of his plan to switch to Foles, perhaps hoping it may save his job. Lurie had said that the Eagles are expected to make the playoffs. The Eagles are 3-6 this season after losing five straight.

The 23-year-old Foles was drafted in the third round of April’s Draft out of Arizona.
