Tim Tebow brushes off comments from anonymous Jets

Tim Tebow is not letting the comments from unidentified Jets players bother him. The backup quarterback of the New York Jets was called “terrible” by one member of the team while others declined to say if he could help the team win.

Incumbent starter, Mark Sanchez has publicly denied any conflict with Tebow. His suggestion on how to end the Tebow talk?

“Just win a damn game and all this will turn,” Sanchez said via Newsday.

Sanchez defended Tebow. “You don’t have to blast the guy. (Tim) works his butt off.”

When asked about the comments, Tebow said that it was “human” to be disappointed. When one reporter asked where he goes from here, the third year player responded, “To a special teams meeting.”

Tebow has attempted just six passes all season, completing five for a total of 40 yards. He has also run the ball 27 times for a total of 92 yards, though his biggest contribution this season has been on special teams.

The Jets are 3-6 on the season and travel to St. Louis this weekend.

That does not mean Tebow will start though. “We never brought him on here to be the starting quarterback.” said Jets head coach Rex Ryan in a press conference today.
