Matt Cassel to play against Oakland

The Kansas City Chiefs will allow Matt Cassel to play for the second consecutive week. Brady Quinn remains out with a concussion. Cassel has a eye-popping 18 turnovers thus far.

Despite missing his second straight game, Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel has indicated that when healthy Quinn will be the teams starter. Defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey has also been ruled out for the Chiefs upcoming game against Pittsburgh.

There has been some movement in Kansas City this week. Crennel removed himself as the teams defensive coordinator. Gary Gibbs will call the defensive plays against Pittsburgh.

Cassel has played in seven games this season. He suffered a concussion himself in an Oct. 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Cassel has 6 touch down passes, 11 interceptions and 7 lost fumbles.

Only Philadelphia and Dallas have committed more turnovers then Cassel. (And Cassel even sat out for a game and missed parts of two others)

Kansas City is 1-7 on the season.
