DeMarco Murrary unlikely for Cowboys game against Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys will try to stay in contention for the playoffs this weekend when they play the Philadelphia Eagles. It is hard to believe that so many eyes will be watching the match-up of two 3-5 teams.

If the Cowboys are to beat the Eagles on Sunday they may have to do so without DeMarco Murray. The Cowboys are not expecting Murray to play in Week 10 as he has not been cleared by team doctors. Murray has been out since Week 6.

The absence of Murray will force Dallas to use Felix Jones and Lance Dunbar at the running back position.

Dallas is averaging 83.4 yards per game on the ground. That ranks 29th overall.

Felix Jones has managed a mere 2.8 yards per carry as the Cowboys lead back.

Should Dallas find a way to get past the Eagles their schedule is favorable in the following weeks. After the Eagles, the Cowboys play against Cleveland on Nov. 18 before a Thanksgiving Day game against Washington.
