Robert Griffin III not concerned about rib injury

Robert Griffin III does not seem to be too concerned about his ribs following Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Nonetheless X-rays were done to make sure that they were not broken, results came back negative.

“I’m fine. I’ll be ready to go,” Griffin said after the game. “No one is ever going to question the fight I have inside myself to be the greatest and to help this team to victory. It doesn’t matter what it is, I will make sure that I continue to help my team win games and that it starts right after the bye.”

Griffin took a shot while dropping back a pass play early in the game. He was slow getting up, but didn’t leave the game. Griffin took another hard shot later in the game on a fourth-quarter run that ended with him going airborne while being sandwiched by two Panthers defenders.

Griffin was 23-of-39 passing for 215 yards, ran 11 times for 53 yards and was sacked four times as the Redskins (3-6) lost their third in a row.
