Robert Griffin III will play against the Minnesota Vikings but the NFL is still looking into the rookie quarterbacks recent head injury. Griffin suffered a concussion in last weeks loss to Atlanta.
After the game the Redskins simply described Griffin’s status as “shaken up” which goes against the NFL’s idea that teams “immediately acknowledge a head injury to prevent concussed players from getting pushed back on field,” Jay Glazer reported reported Sunday morning.
Glazer also sent out the following tweet on twitter.
“Redskins are facing a HEFTY fine from the NFL for handing of RG3 injury when they said last week he was “shaken up.” NFL want teams to immediately acknowledge a head injury to prevent concussed players from getting pushed back on field ”
The Redskins are 2-3 in Griffin’s first season in the league. He was the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
Griffin completed in full practice on Friday.
In five games this season Griffin has throw for 1,161 yards and has 4 touchdowns to 1 interception. He also has 241 yards on the ground scoring another 4 touchdowns.
