Patriots defeat Broncos, Brady continues mastry over Manning

The New England Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos 31-21 Sunday. It marked the ninth career win for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady against teams quarterbacked by Peyton Manning.

Brady and the Patriots defeated the Broncos two times last season, including a slashing in the AFC playoffs last season.

The Patriots held a 17-7 lead at halftime and scored two touchdowns within 18 seconds in the third quarter.

Both teams quarterbacks put up impressive stats. Brady was 23-of-31 for 223 yards and a touchdown. Manning was 31-of-45 for 345 yards and three touchdowns.

The Broncos defense was no match for Patriots running-back Stevan Ridley who ran for 151 yards.
