The Tennessee Volunteers have confirmed that two players and one former player were arrested on Saturday. Coach Butch Davis said that he was aware of the situation and that the school was collecting information.

“We are aware of the situation and are still in the preliminary stages of gathering all facts and information,” Jones said in the statement. “We have very high standards and expectations within our football program at the University of Tennessee, and appropriate action will be taken.”

Linebacker A.J. Johnson, defensive tackle Danny O’Brien and former linebackers Dontavis Sapp and Isaac Mobley were arrested on Saturday. Mobley is listed as being charged with underage consumption of alcoholic beverages but no further information is listed on the Knox County police department website on Johnson, O’Brien or Sapp.

The date and time of arrest are not listed and no charges have been listed or announced as of Sunday morning at 10:50 a.m. ET. Sapp and Johnson are listed as roommates with the same address in the report.

Johnson declined to enter the 2014 NFL Draft so that he could return to Tennessee for his senior season.
