Crazy Alabama fan apologies for actions, says she would do it again

The crazy Alabama fan who jumped into a pack of Oklahoma fans has apologized for her actions, kinda.

Michelle Pritchett says she and an Oklahoma fan had a back and forth though the game but took exception when he made fun of her son. She then alleges he called her a name.

“It had nothing to do about the ball game,” she told AL.com in an interview Friday. “It had nothing to do with us losing. It started when he started taunting my son.”

I found this line in the AL.com story hilarious….

Pritchett said she was at the game with her husband, her 16-year-old son, her son’s girlfriend and son’s girlfriend’s sister, and some other friends. She said she’s a big Alabama fan and she’s bantered with opposing fans, but this time, it got to be a little too much.

Must be so hard to be losing huh Michelle? Easier to taunt opposing fans when you are winning?

“Even some of the people with them said ‘y’all are getting too rowdy, this is getting out of control,'” she said.

She also issued apologies to fans of both teams.

“I apologize to the whole Alabama team, to Nick Saban,” she said. “I apologize to the whole Alabama base. That’s not the way I would normally handle things. But when he told my son to come down there, that wasn’t going to happen.”

Of course Prichett did not let the interview end before making a passing  accusation against the Oklahoma fans.

“From what the security person told me, they walked up there a couple times because the lower deck people were complaining that someone was throwing bottles,” said Pritchett, who said she didn’t personally see them throw any bottles. “I didn’t tell them to come up there but they talked to these guys a few times.”

And just to be clear. While she apologized she is not feeling apologetic.

“Would I take that back? No,” she said. “He was out of control.”

For what it’s worth the OU fans alleged in a separate interview that Prichett’s son wanted to fight them and mom went crazy when they told him to come on down.
