The USC Trojans have hired Steve Sarkisian as their next football coach.
Sarkisian had been serving as the head coach of the Washington Huskies after previously occupying the role of offensive coordinator at USC.
Once USC made the decision to fire Lane Kiffin a flurry of names became associated with the head coaching position even as Ed Orgeron led the team to a string of victories which returned them to a spot inside the top 25 prior to a weekend loss against UCLA.
Orgeron has opted to resign at USC rather then remain as an assistant.
