Jason Collins signed a ten day contract with the Brooklyn Nets and already has become the NBA’s best selling jersey. Seeing Collins jersey listed as a the Top Seller on NBA.com is not a mistake according to USA Today’s For the Win.
Here’s were things get funny. Collins has been wearing the No. 46 since he returned to the NBA while the black jersey listed on NBA.com has the No. 98 that Collins previously wore in Boston and Washington.
Collins began wearing the No. 98 in the 2012-13 as a tribute to Matthew Shepard, a gay teenager who was murdered in 1998.
Hopefully Collins actually wears the No. 98 jersey at some point.
