Yankees expect Hiroki Kuroda to pitch next season

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman is expected pitcher Hiroki Kuroda to play in 2015.

Set to turn 40 in February, Kuroda is reportedly considering retirement. However after posting a 3.71 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP, and a 146/35 K/BB ratio over 199 innings for the Yankees in 2014 one can see why he would return for another season.

Cashman has not ruled out the Yankees re-signing Kuroda saying it “just depends when (he decides if he’ll pitch) and what kind of money we have to play with by the time that happens.”

There is also a chance that Kuroda could opt to make a return to Japan next year.
