Cincinnati Reds pitcher Dylan Axelrod is likely done for the season after leaving Monday’s start with a strained right oblique.
Axelrod, 29, lasted only seven pitches before leaving his start against St. Louis. With only a few weeks left in the season and a disabled list stint on the horizon the right handers season figures to be over.

Axelrod had pitched well in his previous three starts this season allowing four runs or less in each. If his season is over he finishes with a 3.12 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP in 17 1/3 innings of work.
