Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki went on the disabled list on Tuesday with a thigh injury. A few days later the Rockies have already forgotten how to spell his name.
The Rockies handed out 15,000 replica jerseys honoring the All-Star with his last name spelled “Tulowizki.”
Fans who got the jersey on Saturday night will have a chance to exchange it for one with the correct spelling.
According to a team statement, the Rockies noticed the mistake but chose to hand out them out anyway.
Fans who exchange the jersey also will get a free ticket to a future 2014 or ’15 game.
On the year Tulowitzki is hitting robust .340/.432/.603 with 21 home runs and 52 RBI.
