Ryan Doumit of the Atlanta Braves left Sunday’s game after taking a pitch to his bare hand. Doumit had been catching Julio Teheran when a foul tip off the bat of Pete O’Brine hit his bare right hand.
Doumit, 32, was acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Twins this offseason. He will serve as a third catcher, corner outfield and a bat off the bench.

Thus far the Braves said that Dourmit will undergo precautionary xrays. Christian Betancourt replaced him in the game.
