The Arizona Diamondbacks could keep pitcher Randall Delgado as a relief pitcher if he fails to win a spot in the rotation.
With the Diamondbacks signing Bronson Arroyo it appears that Delgado will be bullpen bound barring an injury. Out of options the Diamondbacks can not take the risk of sending him to the minors where another team could claim him.
Randall Delgado is out of options, so if he doesn't fit in the Dbacks rotation he'll probably be going to the bullpen, GM Kevin Towers said.

Of the 20 games he appeared in last season 19 were starts. Delgado finished 2013 with 116 1/3 innings pitcheed a 4.26 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. Given the current starting five in Arizona there’s reason to believe that Delgado could reach a dozen or more starts with ease.
