Still wondering about Jim Thome? Well we can pass along that the former All-Star is not retired.
Thome failed to land a contract last offseason and later accepted a role in the front office of the Chicago White Sox. Lost in all that was that Thome never retired.
It’s unlikely that Thome, now 43, will ever play on a major league field again but….
Jim Thome said today on #MLBNHotStove that he is not officially retired. Did not rule out possibility of comeback, unlikely as it might be.

Oh who are we kidding. We’d love to see Thome come back. For those who like to read stats here are Thome’s: In a 22 year career Thome has a .276/.402/.554 line with 612 home runs and 1699 RBI. He was also a five time All-Star.
