Brett Tomko will audition for MLB teams in January in hopes of resuming his big league career.
Now 40, Tomko has not appeared in a major league game since 2012. He is said to be healthy and throwing upwards of 92 mph.
Tomko is said to be seeking just a minor league deal with a spring training invite. He’s nothing more than depth for any team who is willing to sign him.
In his 14 year career Tomko owns a 100-103 record with a 4.65 ERA. The highlight of Tomko’s career has always been being part of the return of the Seattle Mariners when they traded Ken Griffey Jr. to the Cincinnati Reds.
