Mark Mulder is attempting a comeback and has already thrown twice in front of major league teams.
According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe the Giants, Padres, Diamondbacks, Angels, and Phillies have all seen the left hander throw. We can probably rule the Giants out after he reportedly demanded a major league deal.
Mulder is up to 92 mph and is “looking for a creative contract as he makes his comeback attempt.”
If Mulder truly wants to return to the majors he will have to accept a minor league deal with incentives. While Mulder could try to find a spot at the end of a rotation he may be better served as returning as a relief pitcher.
