The Texas Rangers added a slue of infielders and relief pitchers on Thursday.

Doug Mathis, 30, is one of the players the Rangers signed. He spent the 2008-2010 seasons with the team but has not appeared in the major leagues since. He will get an invite to spring training.

The Rangers also added Armando Rodriguez, 26, to a minor league deal. Rodriguez pitched at two different minor league levels last season for the New York Mets. He’s nothing more than minor league depth at this point but the Rangers will give him a look.

It was not just pitchers that the Rangers signed. They also added some infielders.

Once a top prospect Kevin Kouzmanoff, 32, signed a minor league deal with the club which will also see him arrive at spring training. He has not appeared in a major league game since 2011 and appears ticketed for Triple-A in 2014.

The Rangers also came to terms with Josh Wilson and Brent Lillibridge. Both players have been invited to spring training and one could make the club as infield depth.

Wilson, 32, hit .200/.262/.300 in 65 plate appearances with Arizona last season. His best asset is his versatility.

The same is true for Lillibridge who appeared in 20 big league games last season. He’s not much of a contact hitter but does offers some surprise pop in his bat.
