Clint Hurdle says that Jason Grilli will serve as the closer of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, if needed. This news comes one day after Mark Melancon blew his second straight save on Friday night.
It is unclear if the move is just for Saturday or for the rest of the season.

An All-Star this season, Grilli has 38 saves, a 2.85 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP in 51 gamest this season. Grilli lost the closers job when he went on the DL with a strained flexor muscle in his right forearm in late July.
