The New York Mets have inquired about the availability of San Diego Padres outfielder Will Venable reports FOX Sports’ Jon Morosi.
Morosi also confirmed an earlier report that the Mets had checked in on Gerardo Parra. With runs continuing to be difficult to come by and Michael Cuddyer dealing with a knee issue the Mets are exploring the trade market.
