Kris Byrant out of lineup Sunday for Rockies

A day after being removed from a game against the Phillies for lower back soreness, Kris Bryant is out of the lineup for the Rockies.

Bryant does not appear to be in danger of missing significant time, however the Rockies are going to go ahead and play it safe here after the outfielder missed time with back and foot issues last season.

Though 21 games this season Byrant is hitting .288/.360/.450 but had really upped those numbers of late with three home runs over his last nine games while pulling his OPS from .738 to .810 during that time. It would not be a surprise to see him used at DH more initially when he does make his way back into the lineup.
