Braves land Marcell Ozuna on one-year deal

The Braves have reached an agreement with outfielder Marcell Ozuna on a one-year deal.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Ozuna will make $18 million for the 2020 season. That amount checks in just north of the $17.8 million qualifying offer he turned down from the Cardinals.

The Braves immediately will plug Ozuna into their lineup as a replacement for the departed Josh Donaldson.

Ozuna hit 29 home runs last season going with a .800 OPS.
