White Sox infielder Tyler Saladino shaved his mustache earlier this week and now the veteran has been scratched from Sunday’s lineup due to a hand injury. According to Toni Ginnetti the injury occurred in Saturday’s game forcing the 28-year-old out of the lineup. The White Sox will now need to play Jose Abreu who manager Rick Renteria has been giving an extended break.

Saladino reached on a single Saturday but was thrown out trying to steal second base. On the year he’s hitting just .197/.271/.257 with nine dobules and five steals in nine attempts.

Since the White Sox have one of the more interesting rotations of bench/utility players we will list any affected positions now. Abreu will be serving as the White Sox DH today with Matt Davidson playing first. Alen Hansen is at second for the team, Tim Anderson at Shortstop and Carlos Sanchez will man third.
