The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed right handed pitcher Trevor Cahill to a minor league contract.
Though 15 games with the Atlanta Braves, Cahill posted a 7.52 ERA before finally earning his release on June 20.
The Dodgers are looking for rotation depth but they are digging deep here with Cahill who has not looked the part of a major leaguer for the past two seasons.
With injuries to both Hyun-Jin Ryu and Brandon McCarthy the Dodgers may also have to explore the trade market.
