On Monday, Los Angels Angels pitcher Jered Weaver threw a bullpen session.
Weaver threw 20 fastballs and is said to have felt good afterwards. He will throw another session later this week in which he will use all of his pitches.
Hip irritation has kept Weaver out of action for the past week. Though 15 starts he was 4-8 with a 4.75 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. The Angels will need Weaver to pick it up if they are to make any waves in the second half.
