Minnesota Twins pitcher Ricky Nolasco is expected to be placed on the disabled list following an MRI on his right elbow. The Twins have not yet released any information about the status of Nolasco but Mike Bernadino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Trevor May is set to pitch this weekend.
The Twins surely will provide more information on Nolaso – likely later today. Nolasco failed to record an out in the fourth inning of his season debut against the Detroit Tigers allowing a total of six earned runs n six hits and four walks while striking out two.
May saw time in the Twins rotation last year but was 3-6 with a 7.88 ERA in 10 games, including nine starts.
