The Marlin have pursued Mike Morse for much of the offseason and on Tuesday they reached a deal with him pending a physical.
Morse, 32, becomes the latest addition to the Marlins who have been one of the busiest teams this offseason. In Morse they get a player who finished last season with .279/.336/.475 line, 16 homers and 61 RBI in 131 games with the Giants.
Am told by someone with direct knowledge: Marlins have reached 2-year agreement with first baseman Mike Morse, pending a physical.

The Marlins could choose to pair Morse with Garrett Jones next season or give him the job full time if they find a trade partner for Jones.
