The 30-year-old Cabrera batted .301/.351/.458 with 16 home runs and 73 RBI in 139 games for the Blue Jays.
With Cabrera now signed, the White Sox look like contenders in the AL Central. Earlier the team signed closer David Robertson and first baseman Adam LaRoche while trading for starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija.
