White Sox interested in Norichika Aoki

NorichikaAoki

The Chicago White Sox are one team who could make a play for outfielder Norichika Aoki this offseason, should he leave the Kansas City Royals as a free agent.

Nick Carfado expects the White Sox to make a play for Aoki who hit .285/.349/.360 for the Royals this season. Such a move would require the team to trade Dayan Vicideo or at the very least move him to the designated hitter spot.

It is important to remember that the White Sox no longer have Adam Dunn or Paul Konero so Viciedo could move into the DH spot. He will need to improve upon the .231/.281/.405 line which included 21 home runs and just 58 from last season. The bet OPS that Viciedo has posted in a full season is .744 which simply does not get it done for a one dimensional player.
