The Toronto Blue Jays have picked up the option on first baseman Adam Lind for 2015. Lind will make $7.5 million next season as part of the option.
Lind, 31, appeared in 96 games last season before injury hitting .321/.381/.479 with six homers and 40 RBI.
Given the Blue Jays decision to pick up Justin Smoak, there is a good chance that Lind could be moved prior to spring training.
UPDATE: Brewers in talks to acquire Lind.
One player who will not be returning to the Blue Jays next season is pitcher Sergio Santos.
Santos, 31, is a hard throwing reliever who should have no problem finding a new home. He had a $6 million option for 2015 but instead will get a $750,000 buyout after posting a 8.57 ERA, 2.19 WHIP and 29/18 K/BB ratio over 21 innings of work.
