Rich Hill has signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees.
Hill, 34, has been assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Just a week ago the Los Angles Angels released Hill after he failed to record an out in two games. Hill allowed a run, a hit and three walks.
It didn’t take Hill long to find a new job after being released by the Angels a week ago following two appearances where he failed to record an out. The veteran reliever will provide some bullpen depth from the left side.
In 25 games at Triple-A Pawtucket (Boston) Hill had a 3.23 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP before he was acquired by the Angels.
