The Baltimore Orioles have activated right handed pitcher Bud Norris from the 15-day disabled list.
Norris, 29, has made 14 starts entering Tuesday’s contest against the Washington Nationals. He owns a 3.62 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP on the season.
In order to make room for Norris on the roster the Orioles designated reliever Julio DePaula for assignment. The 31-year-old DePaula is expected to clear waivers and return to Triple-A. He had been called up as a replacement for Kevin Gausman so that the team would have an extra arm after a double header and a 14-inning game over the weekend.
Gausman is expected to make one minor league start before returning to the Orioles rotation.
