Mark Teixeira slammed his helmet after being hit by Baltimore Orioles pitcher T.J. McFarland.
Teixeira would leave Sunday’s game and is headed for x-rays. The hope is that nothing is fractured. Thus far nothing ha been reported by the Yankees but stay tuned.
The 34-year-old Teixeira was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in what proved to be a 6-1 loss for the Yankees. On the year Teixeira is hitting .246 with 12 home runs and 35 RBI in 54 total games.
