Blake Wood is returning to the organization that selected him in the third round of the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft.
The Kansas City Royals have claimed the right handed pitcher off waivers from the Cleveland Indians.
The 28-year-old Wood appeared in seven games with the Indians allowing five runs in 6 1/3 innings. He posted a 7/7 K/BB ratio during that span and was placed on waivers last week.
