The Baltimore Orioles have acquired catcher Nick Hundley from the San Diego Padres.
Hundley had been listed as the third catcher with the Padres but now will head to Baltimore where he will pair with Steve Clevenger to fill in behind the plate while Matt Wieters is on the disabled list.
In 59 at-bats with the Padres, Hundley was hitting .271/.271/.373 with a homer and three RBI.
There is no timetable for Wieters to return and manager Buck Showalter has already said that he will not return when available to come off the DL. Wieters received a platlet-rich plasma injection on May 12.
