The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed third baseman Juan Uribe on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring injury.

Uribe could miss more than the required 15 days after he told reporters on Tuesday night that his injury is severe.

To take the spot of Uribe on the active roster, the Dodgers called up Erisbel Arruebarrena from Double-A Chattanooga. Arreuebarrena has only played shortstop during his minor league career so it is unclear what the Dodgers are planning to do at the hot corner for now.

Arreuebarrena, 24, was hitting a mere .208/.252/.302 this season with Chattanooga.

Prior to going down Uribe was hitting .303/.331/.454 with four home runs and 18 RBI.
