The San Diego Padres have placed starting pitcher Andrew Cashner on the 15-day disabled list.
Cashner, 27, is dealing with right elbow soreness after tossing seven innings of one-run ball against the Cincinnati Reds in his last start.
Cashner has a 2.35 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP in 57 1/3 innings of work this season.
The Padres lost Josh Johnson to Tommy John surgery before he ever made a start for them this year.
