Tejada, 39, spent last season in a bit role with the Kansas City Royals hitting.288 with three homers and a .695 OPS in 167 trips to the plate before landing on the disabled list with a calf injury in August. Shortly thereafter he was hit with a 105-game suspension for repeated amphetamine use, of which he still has has 64 games left.

Back before all the failed drug tests, Tejada was a AL MVP and All-Star. He is now one failed test away from a life-time ban.
