The Baltimore Orioles got some good news on Wednesday after it was revealed that catcher Matt Wieters did not require surgery on his right elbow.
According to Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun, Wieters is not considered a candidate for surgery after having his MRI examined by Dr. James Andrews.

While Wieters may not be catching for a few days the Orioles can keep him in their lineup as the DH. Since experiencing the elbow issues Wieters has gone on a hot streak hitting .371 in 35 at-bats.
