Umpire Laz Diaz tossed New York Yankees pitcher Shawn Kelley from Monday nights game after the pitcher had already been removed from the game.
People have been quick to jump on Diaz here, but it is worth mentioning that Kelley actually was the one who started the argument over the second pitch against his final batter. That pitch was clearly a ball but Kelly believed it should have been called a strike.
I am confounded whether to shake my head or laugh at Diaz’s motion to keep walking.
And of course Joe Girardi also had issue with Diaz.
